The NAR Elastic Wrap Bandages are the standard elastic compression wraps in North American Rescue's product portfolio, offered in four widths to address the full range of extremity compression, support, and retention applications encountered in tactical, emergency, and prolonged field care contexts. All four widths share common design elements: latex-free elastic material, hook closure for clean one-motion securing, and 5-yard length (fully stretched) from a compact rolled profile.

The width selection guide is straightforward: the 2 in. wrap is suited for hands, wrists, and feet; the 3 in. for ankles and smaller forearms; the 4 in. for standard extremity applications (forearm, calf) and as a pressure bandage supplement; and the 6 in. for thigh, upper arm, and large-circumference wrapping applications. All four sizes achieve 5 yards of wrap length when stretched, providing ample material for multiple circumferential passes.

These elastic wraps are not standalone hemostatic devices — they are compression and retention tools. In the tactical medicine context, they are most commonly used to reinforce and secure a primary pressure dressing over a wound, to wrap and secure a splint to an injured extremity, to secure hot or cold packs, and to provide graduated compression for sprains and strains during CASEVAC and prolonged field care. The hook closure secures without metal clips that can shift or cause pressure points, and allows rapid adjustment and reapplication as needed.
