Product Overview

Exertional heat stroke is a time-critical emergency where every minute of delay in cooling increases the risk of permanent neurological injury and mortality. The Polar Skin Complete Care Backpack is the most comprehensive field-deployable hyperthermia treatment kit in the Polar Skin line, combining everything needed to initiate aggressive, protocol-compliant cooling at the point of care — without requiring a fixed treatment station.

The backpack cooler uses 0.75-inch high-density foam insulation with a food-grade, leak-proof and sweat-proof liner. It maintains internal temperatures at or below 32°F for 17.5 hours in ambient temperatures above 85°F when prepared to 0°F — and keeps ice from melting for 24 hours in temperatures above 100°F. This cold-chain performance is critical in field settings where resupply is not available and treatment may need to be sustained over hours.

Inside is a Polar Skin Comprehensive Cooling System consisting of two Triple Pack Polar Skin Ice Sheets and one C2E Ice Pack Bundle. Together, these have been scientifically validated to reduce core temperature at a rate of 0.09°F per minute in 100°F heat — a rate consistent with NATA and U.S. Army guidelines for effective heat stroke management. The Double Patient version doubles this capacity for two-casualty scenarios. The backpack form factor allows the treating provider to carry the full system hands-free to the patient site.

For individual system components, see the Hyperthermia Control collection for Polar Skin Ice Sheets, C2E Bundles, and Cooling Collars. For complete medical kits, see IFAK Kits & First Aid.

All products sourced from the actual brand manufacturer or authorized master distributors. CoTCCC recommendation status verified where applicable. Ships from MED-TAC International, Pembroke Pines, FL — clinician-founded, veteran-led, SDVOSB-certified.
